Grenada Cruises

Discover the Isle of Spice

Grenada is a Caribbean gem comprising a namesake main island and smaller satellite islands, including Carriacou, Petit Martinique, Ronde Island, Caille Island, Diamond Island, Large Island, Saline Island and Frigate Island. While the Caribbean islands are best known for its beautiful beaches and turquoise waters, there’s more to Grenada than your typical Caribbean sunny escape! The main island is dubbed the “Isle of Spice” and the “Caribbean Capital of Chocolate” for its large production of various spices, such as nutmeg, cinnamon and mace crops. The main island is home to St. George’s — the country’s hilly capital and main cruise port, boasting a dynamic mix of stunning natural beauty, historic buildings and tropical weather.

On a Caribbean cruise to  Grenada, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the eclectic Creole culture, sample spiced culinary specialities, try excellent diving opportunities and learn about the centuries-old rum history. And, you’ll surely make you keep wanting for more…

Grenada Cruise Highlights

Grand Anse Beach

The highly celebrated Grand Anse Beach is the crown jewel of Grenada when it comes to sunbathing and water adventure. This two-mile stretch of white sands lapped by calm crystal-clear waters serves as a picturesque backdrop for the luxury hotels, electric beach bars and clubs and restaurants lining the shores. From here, you can admire the colourful fishing boats bobbing on the azure bay. Whether it’s taking a relaxing swim on the warm waters, working on your tans under a tall palm tree or enjoying action-packed water sports, the Grand Anse Beach ensures leisure and entertainment!

Underwater Sculpture Park

A unique experience that combines nature, art and history awaits at the Underwater Sculpture Park — the world’s first underwater sculpture park and a popular diving and snorkelling site in Grenada showcasing a cluster of submerged sculptures, most are installed by the British artist Jason deCaires Taylor. The “The Vicissitudes” is one of the most iconic sights in this unusual park set on the seabed — featuring a group of children, holding each other’s hands and forming a circle, garnering different interpretations whilst its real meaning remains a mystery.

Annandale Waterfalls

Annandale Fall is a majestic cascade of water surrounded by a verdant vegetation of tropical foliage and scented flowers. The 30-feet-tall spectacular waterfall plummets down into an emerald-coloured natural pool, perfect for a refreshing dip whilst soaking up the lush and tranquil scenery. The gorgeous forest park where this breathtaking waterfall is located is only a 20-minute drive away from the capital, making it an idyllic nature break spot for quick port stay.

Saunter around St. George’s

Grenada’s capital city and main port of call, St. George, packs a punch of must-see attractions and bucket-list-worthy experiences for every kind of traveller. Culture vultures can wander the narrow streets filled with Georgian buildings or stroll along the horseshoe-shaped harbour of Carenage for a glimpse of the local culture and the Grenadian’s day-to-day lives. Sample a local spiced food

The smell of different spices linger in the air in Grenada and sampling their spice-fused cuisine is an unmissable experience! Tingle your taste buds with the local dishes from meaty one-pot stews to a creamy nutmeg ice cream. Oil Down is considered the national dish, a staple food in the form of a savoury stew that’s present in every event and occasion. The Isle of Spice is truly a haven for foodies!

Take a rum-tasting tour in a centuries-old distillery

Learn about the long and enduring history of the country’s rum production at River Antoine Rum Distillery — the Caribbean’s oldest functioning water-powered distillery. On a guide tour, you’ll discover the intricate processes of rum-making, from the harvesting of sugarcane to the fermentation to the distillation and eventually maturation. At the end of the tour, you’ll get to enjoy a free sip of the island’s finest locally-distilled rum, giving you a chance to understand its withstanding fame throughout the centuries!
