Generally, the high season for a Nicaragua cruise is during the dry period, which usually runs between November and May. This season offers the best weather and convenient travelling conditions – perfect for basking on the beach and outdoor adventures. If you want to avoid the large crowds, you can schedule your holiday during the rainy season, from May to June. Whilst it can be wet, it’s the ideal time for snorkelling and birdwatching and the crowds are much less.

Nicaragua has two main anchorage ports, San Juan del Sur and Corinto. Both of these port towns are located on the Pacific coast, where passengers  will transfer from the ship to shore via a tender transfer.
