Fiji Cruises

Fiji

Fiji is one of the best getaways in Oceania for those who want to reconnect with nature and soak up some serenity! Featuring over 300 pristine islands, this archipelago is a one-stop destination packed with unique culture, natural beauty, farm-grown gastronomy and epic adventures. Rugged landscapes, palm-fringed beaches and spectacular coral reefs with sparkling lagoons characterise this remote gem. Most of the locals reside in the two main islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

On a Fiji cruise, you’ll set sail for Suva — the lively capital and port city in Viti Levu, steeped with British colonial buildings, lush parks and broad avenues. Lautoka is the second-largest city in Fiji, which is dubbed ‘The Sugar City’ for its huge role in the sugar cane industry. The tiny island of Davurni is a postcard-perfect retreat for a tranquil South Pacific beach day away from the hustle and the bustle. This 198-acre island is complete with white sands, shady palms and crystal-clear waters. Set in Vanua Levu, Savusavu is affectionately called the ‘Hidden Paradise’ by locals — famed for its hot springs, dramatic waterfalls and world-class dive spots.

Seeking an exotic escape? Take the Fiji cruise — an exquisite destination of paradise perfected! Whether you’d like to bask on the beaches, taste local flavours or admire the native flora and fauna, you'll never run out of unforgettable experiences in this South Pacific jewel!

Fiji Cruise Highlights

Garden of the Sleeping Giant

The Garden of the Sleeping Giant is home to a collection of native Fijian plants and lily ponds, perfect for the green thumbs and nature enthusiasts. This 50-acre garden is open to the public and visitors can enjoy the lush greenery and the colourful orchids that thrive in the tropical Fiji climate. Wander the different trails and walk past the lily pond, where you’ll encounter frogs jumping around the lily ponds, then head all the way to the native forest. This peaceful haven is situated at the foothills of Sabeto Mountain Range, easily accessible with a few minutes of drive from Nadi and Lautoka.

Great Astrolabe Reef

A breathtaking underwater world awaits snorkelers and divers alike in Great Astrolabe Reef — a massive reef stretching along Kadavu's southern coastline. It’s a proud treasure trove of over 60 dive sites, each teeming with magnificent marine life and awe-inspiring underwater landscapes. Don your tank and fins and navigate the reef’s gaps, where you can get the chance to be up close and personal with iridescent corals, reef fish, manta rays and even sharks! Even if you’re not a fan of diving, there’s plenty of underwater marvels to see on a snorkel.

Fiji Museum

Tucked inside the Thurston Gardens is the Fiji Museum, offering an insight into the long history and rich culture of the archipelago. You’ll be welcomed by an iconic clock tower and well-manicured lawns as soon as you enter the botanical gardens. The national museum houses some of the most significant artefacts and exhibits, such as the archeological treasures dating to 3,700 years ago. You can also see here the gruesome displays of cannibalism, including cannibal forks and dolls, as well as some incredible artworks from Fiji’s finest contemporary artists.

Things to Do in Fiji

Frolic on a sun-kissed beach

No Fiji cruise holiday will be complete without lounging on the powdery sands and diving into the azure waters! The archipelago boasts hundreds of beautiful beaches and beach clubs across the 300 islands of Fiji, so you’ll surely be spoilt for choice. Most of the best beaches can be found in the Mamanuca Islands — a cluster of islands off the coast of Viti Levu known for its immaculate beaches and stunning sunsets. One of the most popular is the Malamala Beach Club, which prides itself on being the world’s first beach club located on its own island.

Spot native fauna and native frogs

Fiji is known for its incredible flora and fauna, including the native frog species that you can easily spot anywhere you go. The archipelago is home to some animals that you can’t find elsewhere in the world, including the Fijian ground frog, Fiji crested iguana and the barking pigeon. The Waisali Rainforest Reserve is where you’ll find some of these endemic species, such as the endangered Fiji ground frogs and the endemic Fiji tree frogs! This mystical rainforest reserve also hosts exotic birds, some species of bats and lizards and the Fiji boa.

Visit the Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami Temple

Visit and pray to the gods in Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami Temple, a large Hindu temple in the town of Nadi. It has a multi-coloured architecture adorned with ornate wooden carvings of Hindu deities and striking ceiling frescoes. Explore the temple’s serene interior and admire the grand facade as you walk around the grounds. You can also engage in the vibrant Hindu festivals and events celebrated at the temple to completely immerse yourself in the culture. As a sign of courtesy, visitors are expected to observe the Hindu etiquette and women’s legs and shoulders must be covered.
