Saint Barthélemy Cruise Highlights

Fort Karl

Fort Karl is one of the three forts that protected Gustavia during the Swedish colonial era, along with Fort Gustave and Fort Octav. The short hike to this 17th century fortress rewards visitors with breathtaking views of Gustavia and Shell Beach, as well as the vibrant harbour dotted with bobbing yachts and surrounded by red-roofed houses. Cannons have been added to this historic military site and an observation platform was built for unparalleled sightseeing.

Gustavia Lighthouse

Set on Fort Gustave, the red and white Gustavia Lighthouse is one of the iconic and recognisable landmarks in St. Barts. Arriving at the fort, you’ll see the ruins of stone ramparts, cannons, a section of a brick-floored bakery and a powder house. Watch the stunning sunsets over the vibrant marina or simply admire the floating yachts. When the skies are clear, you can also catch sight of St. Kitts and Nevis on the horizon.

Saint Barthélemy Nature Reserve

The underwater world of St. Barts is blessed with teeming marine life, beautiful wrecks and colourful coral reefs. The marine reserve has five different zones with diving sites lying on the boundaries marked by white buoys. Colombier Beach and the Grand Cul De Sac are some of the best spots for snorkelling — get the chance to observe and swim with green turtles, stingrays and barracudas! For divers, Kayali is an excellent wreck dive site, featuring a sunken fishing trawler 30 metres deep into the water, as well as spotted eagle rays, lobsters and schools of tropical fish.
