Chile Cruises

Cruise to Captivating Chile

Chile is a long, steep country on the western coast of South America – where stunning natural landscapes, pristine beaches, fascinating street art and culture, and breath-taking fjords all come together to create a postcard-perfect scenery! Santiago is the country’s vibrant capital and largest city, nestled in a valley surrounded by the mighty Andes and Chilean Coast Range mountains, where you’ll find a blend of old colonial landmarks and modern skyscrapers.

Cruises to Chile can take you to Patagonia, an unspoilt slice of paradise shared with Argentina, set in the southernmost tip of the continent. The rugged region is home to the cruise port for Antarctica, the Chilean Fjords and the Torres del Paine National Park. Get the chance to explore the world’s driest nonpolar desert – the Atacama Desert – sandwiched between the Pacific Ocean and Andes Mountains in northern Chile.

Whether you’re an adventure seeker, nature lover or culture enthusiast – or just looking to relax and unwind, this South American gem has something for everyone!

Things to Do in Chile

Discover the driest nonpolar desert on Earth

The Atacama Desert is the world's driest nonpolar desert, and rightfully so, one Chile’s most sought-after attractions – which offers a mix of epic experiences, cosy lodges and out-of-the-world sights. San Pedro de Atacama is an idyllic starting point for exploring this arid hotspot, where you can watch sunsets in the mars-like terrain of Moon Valley; see the largest geyser field in the Southern Hemisphere El Tatio Geysers; and unwind in the sparkling turquoise-coloured Laguna Cejar. Antofagasta is a popular cruise gateway to the geological wonder – steeped with modern, high-rise buildings and a rich copper heritage.

Soak up art, culture and views in Valparaiso

Historic funiculars, cliff top houses, bohemian vibe and vibrant street art characterise the quaint port city of Valparaiso. Wandering through the lovely maze of alleys and staircases of Cerro Concepción and Cerro Alegre, you’ll walk past adobe houses splashed in bright colours and perched on the hills, as well as the creative murals covering building facades and stair steps!  While here, visit La Sebastiana, the former residence of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda now transformed into a museum overlooking the Pacific Ocean, or ride the funicular to navigate the steep hills and enjoy the scenic views!

Embark on a journey to the ‘End of the World’

The Patagonia region encompasses a vast area in the southernmost tip of South America. Dubbed ‘a land of contrasts,’ the region’s Argentine side is teeming with dry deserts and grasslands, whilst the Chilean side features towering glaciers and deep fjords. Spot endemic species of penguins and rare birds as you cruise through the majestic, ice-clad Chilean Fjords. Where dramatic mountain landscapes and giant glaciers meet, Torres del Paine National Park is another star attraction in Patagonia that will surely leave you in awe!

Admire Castro’s traditional architecture

Situated on Chiloé Island, Castro is a charming city full to the brim with colourful wooden stilt houses, handcrafts markets and a UNESCO-listed church. The yellow-washed Church of San Francisco is the most recognisable landmark in the city and one of the oldest churches in Chile, which is declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site along with 15 more churches on the island. The Museum of Modern Art Chiloé offers a glimpse into the island’s artistic and cultural heritage, housed in a barn-like building with exposed timber beams.
