Warm weather, azure waters and endless white sand welcome you in the Eastern Caribbean. The Caribbean region is packed with pristine beaches, perfect for lazing the day by the shores or enjoying thrilling water sports. Antigua and Barbuda is home to over 365 beaches – one for each day of the year, there’s a beach for every mood and adventure! Reef-lined beaches and world-class dive sites make the British Virgin Islands a premier destination for diving and yachting. Swim with sea turtles in Tobago Cays in St. Vincent and Grenadines. Seeking a unique experience? St. Martin boasts nude beaches, like the windswept Orient Beach, where you can get a full-body tanning and enjoy sunbathing completely naked!
Whilst Caribbean’s main claim to fame would be its beautiful beaches, it also has no shortage of diverse natural landscapes and stunning sceneries beyond the blue seas and powdery-white sands. From lush rainforests to rugged mountains, the Eastern Caribbean truly stands out for its excellent biodiversity. The Pitons are twin peaks soaring out of the sea and towering over the coastline of the romantic hideaway Saint Lucia. For hiking adventures, Mount Liamuiga in St. Kitts and Nevis offers trails winding through verdant greenery and Virgin Island National Park is a protected nature area that occupies two-thirds of the United States Virgin Islands.
The Eastern Caribbean is a melting pot of cultures – where native elements from the traditions and cultures of the indigenous communities blend with the foreign cultural influences from Europe, Asia and Africa. Travellers get to taste two different cultures in Saint Martin, with Dutch and French influences perfectly split on the northern and southern regions of the island. Soak up authentic French culture in the French Antilles, including St. Martin, St-Barthélemy, Guadeloupe and Martinique. No cruise to the Eastern Caribbean is complete without sampling the famous Caribbean rum, such as the Barbados rum in the world’s oldest rum distillery, the guava-berry rum signature of Sint Maarten and Guadeloupe’s rhum agricole!
Nicknamed ‘Jet Blast Beach’, Maho Beach is a popular attraction in Sint Maarten for its idyllic location at the very end of Princess Juliana International Airport's runway. Here, visitors can enjoy uninterrupted views if aircrafts take off and land just above their heads. The vibrant beachfront bar is a vantage point for viewing this breathtaking spectacle, and you can also lounge on the shores to get up-close and personal with the planes for a truly extraordinary experience!
Boiling Lake is a crown jewel of the UNESCO-listed Morne Trois Pitons National Park in Dominica. Follow the Boiling Lake Trail, Dominica’s signature hiking adventure, to reach this bubbling, faint green-coloured natural pool. Geologists argue that this boiling lake, the world’s second-largest hot spring, is a flooded fumarole — an opening in the Earth's surface that emits steam and volcanic gases. The temperature of the broiling waters ranges between 82-92 degrees celsius, making it a perfect setting for a relaxing dip.
A perfect blend of nature, art and history awaits at the Underwater Sculpture Park — the world’s first underwater sculpture park and a popular diving and snorkelling site in Grenada showcasing a cluster of submerged sculptures, most are installed by the British artist Jason deCaires Taylor. The “The Vicissitudes” is one of the most iconic sights in this unusual park set on the seabed — featuring a group of children, holding each other’s hands and forming a circle, garnering different interpretations whilst its real meaning remains a mystery.

For closed-loop cruises, a passport is not required for US citizens since the cruise embarks from and ends in a United States port. Some may also require a visa, depending on the country of issue of your passport.
